Financial Assistance

Are you a veteran or high school student interested in CMS Membership? The Claremont MakerSpace has financial assistance available to significantly reduce the cost of membership and classes. The Veterans Scholarship is provided through the generous support of Red River Charitable Foundation and the Student Discount is funded by the Couch Family Foundation. An Economic Hardship Scholarship is returning soon. To learn more and apply, please visit the Financial Assistance page.

Household Membership

A second person of the same household can request a household membership that matches the level of the primary member but at a discounted rate of $35. The second member can register for membership by selecting the option “CMS Special Program Preauth”, and they will be contacted by staff to complete their registration and orientation. If the primary member is already receiving a discount (scholarship or volunteer), the household membership cannot be applied.

Summer Teacher Program – Now CLOSED until June 2026

Are you a K-12 teacher working for a public or non-profit school? The Claremont MakerSpace created the Summer Teacher Program to introduce area teachers to the MakerSpace and enable them to learn new skills and create projects for themselves and their classrooms. In some cases, SAUs may be reimbursing pre-approved CMS classes as credit towards professional development. This program is reserved for K-12 teachers as a fixed price 3 month unlimited membership.
