CMS wants to ensure membership is accessible and affordable for all, and offers several scholarships to help with the cost of monthly membership and classes. Currently, there are scholarships for veterans, high school students, and those experiencing economic hardship. Please see below for more information on all of our scholarship programs.

CMS Veterans Scholarship Program
Are you a Veteran or active service member looking to get a CMS Membership? The Claremont MakerSpace has teamed up with the Red River Charitable Foundation to offer scholarships to qualifying veterans and active service members. To learn more and apply, please complete this online application.

CMS Student Discount Program
The Claremont MakerSpace Student Discount Program offers a 75% discount on CMS membership and classes to high school students, ages 15 and up, in Claremont and the greater Upper Valley region of New Hampshire and Vermont. This program is supported by a generous grant from the Couch Family Foundation.

CMS Economic Hardship Scholarship
The Economic Hardship Scholarship at Claremont MakerSpace offers 75% off membership and class fees—because we believe everyone should have access to opportunity. Anyone facing financial hardship is welcome to apply. Applications are reviewed by local referral agencies to ensure support goes where it’s most needed. To apply for the economic hardship scholarship please reach out to Cortney for the details at cortney@twinstatemakerspaces.org. This scholarship is currently only available to residents of Sullivan County. Once we receive that you will need to sign up on our website with a credit/debit card to pay the 25%, you can do that here by choosing “CMS Special Programs PreAuth”: CMS Membership – The Claremont MakerSpace
