  • Upcoming Virtual Event – Our Stuff, Our Stories

    Makers,

Remember show & tell from elementary school? Whether it was your favorite day or not…. Let’s experience it again in a warm and welcoming community. What’s your favorite photo or object? Why do you keep it? How did it come into your life? What story does it tell?

Let’s gather together to share the stories of the things we keep. Each week you’ll be asked to bring a photo or object related to different themes. This is not a writing workshop but your stories will be recorded (with your permission) & you can use them map out a mini memoir… aka My Stuff, My Stories.  We’ll be inspiring each other by sharing the stories of our things, and providing motivation to continue to share your stories with the world.  Our 3rd session will focus on different ways to keep these stories going & growing.  Register for each event separately, here: Our Stuff Our Stories.  This event will run December 9, 16 and 23rd at  2 PM

We’ve got even more classes/events on the calendar, so check out the full line up HERE.

Questions about upcoming classes, events or the Claremont MakerSpace in general? Let us know at info@twinstatemakerspaces.org.

    On Jamie Townsend:

Influenced by the rich and fearless colors of his youth in the 1970’s,  Jamie’s palette is balanced with pastels that came into his work after attending the Ringling College of Art + Design in Florida.  Drawing from his life experience it was merging with Eastern Philosophy that gave Jamie the confidence to develop his own style. He began researching Abstract Expressionists and painting large scale pieces. He embraces the modern street art movement and finds himself doing many murals as canvases.
Soon Jamie was traveling to Europe and discovering the culture and places that fostered this style. He found painting in Provence to be his favorite where the light is so muted and easy to see furthering his sense of color.
